You can apply for Student Visa Subclass 500 before you turn 50 years of age. With it you can spend upto 5 years living and studying in Australia. You can work in Australia for almost 20 hours per week. If you want to migrate to Australia on a student visa, you need to check the student requirements for Visa Subclass 500. It usually depends on the kind of qualification you have, to determine your post study stay in Australia, which can be anywhere between 18 months to 4 years after graduation. A student first needs a Graduate Skilled Temporary (subclass 485) visa.
